If possible I would like to compile a list of shippers within roughly 80 miles of Los Angeles that (a) ship freight on pallets (of any type) and (b) have a scale on site. All I need is company name and city. It would also help to know whether the scale is single-axle or multi-axle.

Here are the two that I am currently aware of:

    General Mills, Carson, single
    Anheuser-Busch, Van Nuys, multi

If you know of any others please let me know. Thanks!

Neither. I'm a trucker interested in doing a study of loading procedures. If possible I'd like to spend some time at a shipper gathering some data. General Mills in Carson is a good candidate but I'm curious what else is out there. Something closer to Ontario would be more convenient, but Carson works. My employer has scales at its terminals but I really need to do this at a shipper. Just a few days, or maybe even just one day is all I need.

A produce place like Grimmway would also be good. Doesn't matter what the freight is, it just needs to be palletized. Rules out places like refineries (they do also load barrels on pallets, but not frequently enough to make it worth going to one).

Miller/Coors at Irwindale ave and the 210 has scales. Right at the guard shack. You weigh in and out and I believe axle out since those are heavy loads.

Maybe a little outside your area, but Paramount Farms in Lost Hills is weight in, weigh out, multi axle scales
