This does not include those that have asked and in working with them got their tablets correctly updated and WORKING...
So if you wish me to help you... explain what the issue is and what you have done besides it does not work.
And for the many others... YES, do the RM Launcher, Version, and Map update. If you run into issues let me know. I pretty much have all the procedures written and I have tested pretty much on my test units any situation.

No code is needed to repair GPS Data since their is nothing there to repair GPS Data.
It sounds like all it needed was the file deleted, then a Factory Data Reset started. Piece of cake.
Were you on what kind of Hotspot?

@Mark Kling I've read a lot of information on these forums about the TND 80 tablet. My stepfather who isn't tech savvy has one that he uses daily. The most recent update for it causes an error when attempting to route to Indiana of no legal route, a different problem occurs when attempting to route from PA to KY where the route loads, then the TruckGPS app crashes and closes. A third mishap which is intermittent is that a route will load, but the Map onscreen freezes in place and stays that way stuck at the same coordinates threw several reboots of the tablet. I have had to reset his tablet back to factory which lost 2015's update and I can't seem to find a download for it. You mention PMing a download of the new updates from last year (2016) Will that help his tablet? I'm new here and this is my 1st post.

But, you will need to delete one file before the updates will show. I can tell you how to find it and delete it.
Thanks,

Oops, I forgot to mention that when I download the update that shows up in the notifications after the reset, all of the above mentioned problems come back.

It will turn off and then restart on it own.
It will then "erase everything".
(note,, this factory reset does not erase a lot of your app's that you installed so the tablet will still retain this "used" storage space, so if you do not have enough storage to do the install you will have to manually delete a lot of your install apps and other items.)(contact me if you run into this).
It then will install.
Agree to location consent.
Agree to "access your location".
It will now show "setup.
Press on set up your tablet.
Click on agree and then continue.

Once installed - tap on done.
You will then see a pop installer for Truck GPS - Install (leave set as "new" on top).
Once installed - tap on done
You can swipe down upper left to watch the downloads.
It should show 3 -4 downloads left - these are the maps... it may take a few hours..(you will not see an install popup, the installs just "disappear" from the swipe down upper left. You will notice as they are installed, they will verify also.
DO NOT use the tablet while you are installing the updates.
The above till you get to the Maps download should take about ten minutes. Maps will take a few hours.
Once ALL installs are done. Turn the tablet off and then power back on again.
Let me know how this goes. I monitor TTR all the time so I will see your posts.
Thanks,
