Nope, not a reading comprehension problem, you just dodged the question is all. Still don't know if a trainee must try to sleep in a moving truck during their 10-hour sleeper berth log time (most likely during the day).

Maybe DHT does it the way the company I trained with so many years ago did it. The trainee drove as many miles/hours as he felt comfortable with, then the trainer would drive for a period of time, determined by the trainer or the requirements of the load. Experienced hands know there is a big difference between that kind of driving and real "team" driving.
Powder Joints Thanks this. -
Just a update everyone. Me and the team mate are quitting the first. In the one month we have been here and on the road we have averaged 3900 miles a week at .21cpm. Got a good offer from my previous company to come back and we're taking it.
I'll be unsubscribing from this thread so any questions just PM me. Thanks. -

In my opinion you have to stay at a carrier for a year to really get a good evaluation. Do your research beforehand which means talking to current drivers on the road and be prepared to stick it out for a year. Don't focus on money or you'll be a job hopper for sure. My experience has been that when I focused on job satisfaction the money followed.

Any updates from you Danny Herman drivers?
Question: If Trump severely alters NAFTA, what impact could that have on DHT freight since DHT seems to be a major border town carrier...?Last edited: Jan 30, 2017
