Never seen or used one but I have heard a couple of drivers using(at least they said they were?) one and they sounded great.

This was on 19 along I-75 and mm 146.

    1989 Pete Thanks this.

i talked to cb about that radio. they said that radio tends to get hot. if you get long winded it will overheat. i wanted one of those too, but now i am not sure.

89 Pete you were asking about the 4600 Turbo and if I liked mine. It's rated for
150 watts, when the tech hooked it up to the meter it was pushing right at 200.

As for everything else about the radio I have no complaints whatsoever.

If I had had the allmost $700 I would have bought the 4300-400. The 4300-400, the 4300-300, and the Turbo 4600 are the exact same radios execpt for the
    wattage it puts out.

Oh yea any reputable shop that you buy a radio from will peak and tune their radios before putting them on
    the shelf.

The guy I deal with will not put a radio and the shelf unless he has peaked and tuned it.

    No I haven't.

When I bought my radio I was asking the guy about the amp heating up because
in my Mack the radio sits right on the dash where there is a spot made for it. He
said of course any amp will heat up, but he said not to the point where you have
to worry about melting your dash or anything.

The amp on my 4600 is not quite as big as the one on the 300 or the 400 but so
far I havn't really noticed any heat coming from it.

All in all I love my radio. And as for power I think the 4600 Turbo that is rated for
150 watts and when peaked and tuned properly like mine pushes around 200 is
    plenty in my book.

Different folks different strokes you know so what I think is enough might not be
    enough for you.

Like I said they are the EXACT SAME radios, one just puts out more power than
    the other one.

    4600 Turbo 150 watts
    4300-300 300 watts
    4300-400 400 watts

It all depends on how much power you want. I'll just say again that I am very
    happy with the 4600.
