I was leaving the site after I had dropped my load and a Mack Superliner pulled in hauling a load of red iron on a flat bed. I tooted my air horn and waved, he reciprocated.:smt025 It was a neat truck, that old dog had some miles on it for sure. It was a white day cab with a headache rack. Twin stack Mack! :smt023 It's been a long time since I've seen one. Years, and years, and years. Almost forgot they existed! Could somebody please dig up some photos of those old trucks and put them up here? That was the last good looking truck Mack built. Now they're all areodynamic and boring. If any of you drivers here have driven one, do tell! I have not yet had the pleasure.

Thanks! Those really are good looking trucks. Is that a sleeper or a toolbox on the Mexico truck? It's TINY!
Where's Mack E-6? I bet he has some good Mack stuff hiding somewhere.

I used to drive a Mack Superliner as one of the trucks when I started pulling quad axle dump trailers years back... #### rugged truck right there and pretty much my favorite Mack Truck design Id have to say. Surprisingly, most superliners, despite the large grill, only house 350hp engines most commonly from what Ive seen. The one I drove had a 400hp E6 in it with a super-10 tranny. Great trucks but my only gripe is that the cabs were kind of small like the early R models.

I still have some pics of that truck laying around and I will surely post them up soon... Long live the Super Liner!!

That's old school sleeper. They were little years ago.

Nope. 'Fraid not. I don't even know how to post pictures here. I just like 'em, and have yet to see an engine built that can stand the test of time like the E-6. I like the way they sound too.

Wow, I remember the sleeper on our COE's. I don't remember them that small. You conventional guys had it tough "back in the day". I guess if the driver died on the road they'd just get a wrench and a backhoe?

Those older ones posted above, look like dogs...

Lets give the Superliner its real justice by posting some in good condition!

I used to drive a SuperDawg myself.

It was a black 2 stack dog with a loveshack.

Pulled a J&B highside dump bed with it.

Big Honkin 325 HP mack motor. Was the biggest draggin' fly (drags up one side of the hill, and flies down the oher) truck I've seen.

I drove one for 2 years...300hp, with a 5 speed (Yup a 5 speed), sit down in bunk. Hauled lumber all over the Eastern half--really thought I was big riggin'. Oh how times have changed. And not all for the better.
