I applied online yesterday. Talked to a recruiter. I requested tank as a preference. I liked pulling tank. I did jetA and Avgas for a while. I'll probably end up as a reefer guy if they hire me.
Is it going to be a problem not wanting do the L/O? Do they have drivers that last there that don't do the lease?

yes there are company drivers that have been there and will probably never lease.....
good luck !DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
Yup, I'm a company driver and have no plans on leasing. Just be advised that the company is currently begining to switch all company solo drivers to small, lightweight trucks. But leasing is not forced and you can make money as a company driver.

Smaller lighter weight?

How small and how light weight?

Next up, message from dispatch: Driver, make sure you take a dump before you pick up this next load, need to cut weight.
cowboy_tech Thanks this. -

Hey... if taking a dump before each load helped my paycheck and increased my job security, then I would happily do so! -
Lol, I see a couple people thought that was funny too. The point is tho, that sux. Livin in a truck is tight quarters as is. In this day and age of trucks getting nicer and fancier every year, I wouldn't be too happy with a down grade to smaller and more stripped down. When I worked there I always thought they had some of the nicest equipment on the road, truck and trailer wise. generally new and in good condition, with all the fancy stuff to go along with it. I left when they started buying those utility trailers (not because of that lol) That is a solid trailer, good quality. but they bought em cuz theyre lighter than wabash. also super singles and smaller fuel tank.
