The only load I took to Seattle was a FedEx load out of CA but coming out was always produce(apples cherries etc) during my tnt phase we went to Washington 3 times....got peas out of there once....if we were close to WA that's where we deadheaded for a load

So i put an app in last night, and got a call from Gracie outtah Pennsavania. Asked me when i wanted to start. Seems like an awesome company to work for with the exception I have to drive 40-60k miles before ill actually be on my own. 4-6 months at 600 a week is crap, dont really think i can support my family with that measley amount, 1 month possible 2 i can handle, Excellent pay after Im on my own really appeals to me. SO im kinda thinking about just staying with my original orientation date with Watkins and Shepard which is the 28th of Nov, unless Gordon decides to get me started first that is.

Hey Mont you might want to ask about flatbed division. I think they inflate the amount of time out so you won't be upset if you do end up staying out that long. Although you can better answer if you can be out that long and survive on that pay for that amount of time. If you decide watkins is not for you I'm sure that the door is open here at prime. Good luck and stay safe.

Thanks man, its such a hard decision, another thing that im trying to think about is the downtime for trucking after the holidays, atleast if im with Prime ill still be making 600 a week, might be worse then that if im with watkins barely getting miles. But the payoff with prime is the cpm pay after training and the trucks seem pretty awesome. Plus im thinking flatbed is defenitely the wtg. So many option, guess im just gonna have to flip a coin.

I have been to OR and reload out of WA going back east. The following week two other trainers were in that area. So I know flatbed goes there. When would you be coming to MO if your going flatbed I can hook you up with my trainer. He will need a trainee after or before xmass.

Im supposed to be giving Gracie a call on Tuesday with my decision, so it looks like I might be heading out the first week of December, She said i could possible start the 28 ov Nov, but that really doesnt give me a whole lot of time to get my affairs in order.

The $600 a week is a minimum. Anything over 5000 miles a week is paid at 12cpm, which is pretty easy to do running as a team. Atleast on the reefer side you have to so atleast 30,000 miles, could take as little as 6 weeks. Once you go solo flatbed pays 36cpm, loaded or not. Plus the extras we get.
