Can anyone elaborate on employment history requirements?
I've read many, many vague comments in the section about how crucial it is to not "lie" about anything in the application process. Reading this repeatedly makes it really easy for someone to stress like crazy over the pre-hire hurdles, specifically employment history.
For a driver coming to Prime in their 20s, a ten year employment history would most likely date back to part-time inconsequential jobs held during high school/college times. The biggest fear I have is getting sent home from SpringMo because I had an inaccuracy or forgot some part-time bar tending gig I had during school 7 years ago. Is this a legitimate concern?
Maybe some words of advice or some insight to what they're really looking for when it comes to work history.
Also, I read 10 years history in this section but on Prime's page here - http://primeinc.com/drivers/driver-qualifications.html - they say they only need up to five years if its non-driving work history. Can anyone confirm that if you're a first time driver that you only need to provide five years worth? That would be a huge help.

i would only put down in school before you worked fulltime
and i think most companies time frame is shorter 3-5 years if your new to
the industry. I was self employed and needed a letter from my accountant
to verify continous employment

SpartyOn it is what they ask for, Do not purposely leave any job out, explain all of your gaps in employment etc. They are really and this is actually the Feds looking for gaps when you may have been away training with Alkiada to do terror acts in this country, They will also go over all of this when you get to SpringMo, Be very careful with what you say there, I know guys that went and was on a bus because they joked about having a joint in their room and whatever they don't play games, Also there are guys finding that if a company puts on your DAC that they would have to question if you were re-hirable that there are companies that don't want you. Whatever you do don't tarnish your record before you get started. I wish you well.

If I remember correctly, they only go back 10 years if youve driven for that long. I was only asked about 5 years. If you fill out the app, and forget something, but remember it later you just need to let them know about it.

I came back in Mar 2012 to driving after getting out of it in 1997.
I got tired of hearing about all the same excuses you did.
I found a local company with 25 trucks and called him up, asked to talk to him about driving one of his trucks and when would be a good time to come in and see him.
Two hours later he told me I had a job after talking with him for 20 minutes. Contingent on passing insurance and a drug screen. I had a brand new physical in hand that was 3 days old.
