You guys should start your own thread and post about your experience during your orientation. It is always helpful to other new students to read about experiences of others going before them. Keep in mind that questions should still be posted in the ask your questions about prime inc here thread.

Here's how getting a trainer works, so u know.
On Thursday afternoon, you are matched up with the available trainers that are on hand, you 1st have to be cleared before this happens. Non-Smoking trainers are matched to Non-Smoking trainee's and Smokers are matched up to Smokers. The Trainer should then interview you and you him, If there is a problem then now is the time to point that out.
Those Trainee's that do not get a trainer at that time should not worry, as alot of us are on the road and working our way back in to get a trainee. Our FM will match us up to the trainee if this is the case. I know on my board my FM reviews the trainee's info and makes a decision on who gets who, and then leaves it up to us to make sure it works.
Now a word to the wise, while you are going through orientitation there is a group of guys also going through training to be PSD trainers, corner them and get to know them, See if one of them will work for you, also some of the trainers will go into the sim lab and observe/help out the trainee's while the are working on the sim's. What they are doing is looking for a trainee. I do it if I am in town and have time, what I look for is a clean, well groomed, nicely dressed person, who is really taking things seriously. The guys who joke around and think they know it all are ruled out fast. I also rule out guys who are wearing T-shirts and ragged pants also baggy jeans. On my truck I wear a button down/polo shirt and clean jeans and expect my students to do the same. Again folks, this is a job interview and it should be viewed as such.
Once you have a trainer sit down and go over your expectations and his expectations, Things you should ask.
    1. How often do we shower. Should be at least every other day.
    2. How much will I backing. Should be daily
    3. How many pre-trips will I need to do daily. Should be 2
    4. How much will I get to drive. Should be as much as possible.
    Those are the 4 biggy's.
Pad time, DO NOT expect to get a trainer to work with you if you are not assigned to him. The reason is, that we have to sign for the pads in 2 hour blocks, and there is normally only 2-3 available during daylight hours, the others are taken up by the examiners. So we trainers are out there during our time working with out trainee's to get them ready to test out. Once our time is up for the pad, then we have to vacate it. So pad time is limited now.
    Hope this helps you all.

Hey to all the Prime Drivers especially IP, Steamer, Silenteagle, Highway 101. You guys are great not to mention entertaining. For those that don't know I have been out here for the last few months doing research on a lot of companies and Prime seems tp be the best. I have talked to a few of you over the last few months and read pretty much all of the Prime posts (even the bad ones). Thanks for all you do and I hope to see you sometime towards the end of next year.

Since I can't go back and add anything, and this thread is getting long enough to discourage people from reading the first page......

    READ THE FIRST PAGE........

Yes, folks, start reading from the first page. I did get most of the information into the first two pages. Good long posts with lots of details..

If I would have found you I would have taken you in a second. I fish, hunt, play guitar and don't smoke. AND take regular showers. But alas, I am on my own till after Christmas. Just finished up a student this week.

    mje Thanks this.

A quick add on, When you come back and test(successfully), and go to the DMV, the $100.00 needs to be IN CASH
