What's the whole story bro? London drivers wanna know.LOL!But I bet we could take a guess and prob know what it was. Hope everything works out great for you all there. I know it sucks, especially when you've been doing the same gig for so long. I've prob talked to ya before getting directions to stores and what not.I Remember when they started Olney. They had me running empty reefers up there to get'em started and training drivers. Good luck bud.

Can't tell the story that I was privy to, but will say I came back to SNI on this account specifically late last year to clean up on some bonuses. Its nice to get insider info from friends in GB.

I am a O/O in Shelbyville Tn dedicated Walmart with Greatwide for 9yrs. Prime has definitely got the acct. here Olney Il. and New Albany Ms. Don't know about any other bids on terminals except Clarksville Ar. and it is staying Greatwide (for now anyways). Prime has came and talked to us and they seemed very very nice and helpful. They don't know exactly what they doing with everything since they kinda new on this side but they getting it together. They are letting all drivers stay that want with our current equipment as longs you can qualify which may be a problem for some of the guys that's here. From what prime has told us we will be a hell of a lot better off with them than we are now and with better pay. We shall see what really happens but sounds great at this time. I don't care what sticker is on my trucks. Thats not what it's about to me. Like convenience, money, going home everyday to be with my family, having a life outside of trucking. I'm trying to be positive about it. Nobody likes change but this is probably a change to the better for us all on these accts. Dont leave because you hear the rumors from the idiots. Give them a shot. Im sure its a step up for us all. Greatwide corporate is pretty bad and from what I've heard swift ain't no better. Swift took Florida and Alabama dc's and pay dropped for them guys. However prime is paying more... How's that happen?? Seems like prime is actually passing it along to the drivers and O/Os. Good bye to Greatwide and hello Prime time..... We will see how it goes. Thank GOD ALMIGHTY it wasn't swift us express jb schneider or someone that thinks they are so special and dont care, and Prime is letting us all stay with it and never miss a beat. And by the way we at Shelbyville dc are TOP NOTCH at all we do. Not GW but the O/Os... Thanks for reading...

Good to hear, I have run a few loads out of the Olney, IL DC for Sams club, so now I imagine I will get more lol. No biggy as my FM uses it to get me back in the freight. Just so you know, Prime will ask you to get your milage to at least 7.25mpg, so you will have to slow down some it you are used to running at 62mph. LOL, Have fun and welcome to the family.

They said that they are gonna kinda let us do what we do. No require governing of speed no fuel mileage requirement or that stuff.. At this DC only!!! The reason of it is, is that we are not company drivers nor lease drivers nor lease operators we own our equipment. Owner Operators with our own financing or paid for equipment from 94's to 09's. they do something similar to it now they call the A fleet.. ???.. It should be fine for us here and at other DCs. As said in last post they seem cool about everything so far. We take care of our DC and like them and in turn our DC likes us and tries to return the favor. Trust me the change here didn't come from our driver performance or anything associated with us. And probably the same with a number of other changes at other DCs. And by the way there is absolutely no way we will get close to7mpg more like 6.3 on a good day. 2012's company trucks w apu's aren't even close either running 62 here now...

Als6576 is an O/O... Prime's operating restrictions don't apply to him. Welcome to the insanity!

About a dozen job openings posted between Shelbyville and Olney on Prime's website. Mechanic types and a Fleet Manager for each.

I wouldn't say their restrictions don't apply.. I'm saying there is less of them.. Also I have been here in shelbyville DC as a O/O since 2004 back in the day before Greatwide... "Clarksville Refrigerated.. C R L.." I'm sure if any of the guys from Winterhaven Mcclenney Opelika Brundidge know what I mean from back in the day...I don't know who you are with Ironpony but I can probably tell you as far as the insanity part.. Been There Done That and Still doing it.. As for my colleagues from the Fl and Al DCs that went to Swift last year taking a cut in pay I feel for you. And I say again I'm going to give Prime a shot and ignore your fellow idiots in the driver room that don't know ANYTHING more than a rumor they heard from another idiot...Thanks...,
