Garbage acounts. They want to pay you like an associatte. You work nights, unload a lot of your trailor. The associates a lot of time don't know how to do this.
The company you work for will try to force you to stay for six months.

I think you guys are posting in the wrong forum. While we pull freight for Walmart, we don't have any "dedicated" accounts in the midwest. We do have a contract to pull the store account freight, but that's in Lewiston ME.

Prime just picked up four grocery distribution centers. We are losing the one I am at to Prime. I was just curious if anyone knew the pay package and how they are going to run the account to see if it would be worth jumping ship or just staying at Schneider and going to a different account.

I'm paid very well and I do not unload my truck. We are not allowed to touch the freight. I like the account it just sucks that we lost it.

I heard they (Prime) were looking at picking up 4 more Walmarts, but had not heard where at. Wouldn't happen to know which 4 would you. Also best to talk to a Prime recruiter if you want the lowdown on they (Prime) are going to do it. I know in Lewiston, A bunch of the guys that drive in the NE region pretty much handle that account. But if we get up that way, we wind up pulling at least 1 or 2 loads for them. Hope this helps you.

Ah, so we "heard" it! Then it's still in the realm of rumor. I was in Springfield last weekend, and nothing was mentioned at the Friday meeting - although usually the folks on the loosing end of such things hear about them before the winning end does. It wouldn't surprise me that Prime is going after that business.

At Lewiston, the drivers who were employed there were offered positions with Prime, so no one lost their jobs unless they chose to leave. None of us posting here would have anything factual to contribute at this point. If you're interested in jumping, as Highway101 posted, the best thing to do is contact recruiting, and see if they have anything on it yet.

Schneider management is who said it was Prime. They said that wal-mart said that no one was to announce the winning or losing of the contracts until today, but they knew for a while who won and lost the bids. By the time I got my load and got out of there I figured recruiting had already left for the day. Going to try to call tomorrow.
