What year is the truck that you picked out? I am curious as why you said that it should be an 8mpg truck and you got out of a 6mpg truck thought maverick trucks where spec'd for the best fuel economy. Or is it because of the APU system? From the looks of your photo it is a condo lots of extra room for storage. Wish you the best

I had one of only two 2007 KW T600's in Mavericks lease fleet it had a Cat C-15 ACERT engine. Fuel mileage was terrible. I waa able to average 6-6.5 mpg if I drove very conservatively. On occasion I had PRIME trucks passing ME lol. So I'll be keeping those driving habits here and reap the rewards from it. The APU is a definite plus as well. Im looking forward to a good career here (my ex wife hopes I do well too lol).

How long did you have the 07 with ACERT? With all the conservative driving habits you use hopefully you will get over 8mpg.

Well dropped my first load this morning in Wichita. Arrived at the 90 about 245am this morning. Yesterday started out fubar and didnt start to get better til I was loaded and rolling. Seemed everything was working against me yesterday lol. I hate those days, especially when you are just starting someplace new and everything feels weird anyway. Truck started squealing yesterday so sent RA a message. He thinks its possibly the idler pully so once Im rolling again I gotta try to get thru a TA to have them look at it. Other than that the truck has been great. Now once I kinda get the qc macros down I think things will get smoother.

Ok the idler pully crapped out on the new truck already, wtf freightliner? I thought they had this issue resolved after the first couple years of the Cascadia. So Im not thrilled about having to stop at dealer.
