Well it wasnt the pulley. It sounded like a belt squeal, even the shop foreman thought so but they couldnt see any belt issues or anything with the pulleys. The mechanic just stumbled on it by dumb luck and we all had a chuckle because it had us all fooled. It was the deer guard or more precisely the pins in the deer guard. After shutting the hood he rested his hand on the guard and the noise quit. While the hood was open it wouldnt squeal lol. Im off to bed. What a day.

Yeah I liked the old avatar better also.
As far as the deer guard it would be a pain in the if you had to listen to it all day.

Well I figure in enough time that noise will go away. Once it rubs the pin enough that is.

On a different note I got my first lig violation tonight danggit. 5miles from the truckstop and it took me almost 15minutes smh. So I was over a little on my 14. I thought id make it from shipper to the truckstop but I didnt before the clock ran out. Shipper piddle around loading me. I sat in the door for 2+hrs before they even started loading. Once they got me loaded I was secured and tarped in less than an hour. Experience counts for something lol. However Im just taking this to the Springfield yard because it dont deliver SLC til most likely tuesday(no set appt yet but unless a team grabs it a friday delivery would be iffy solo) so I get to take all my stuff off and put yard equipment on it.

Stop, pull the parking brake handle, and check your clocks. You can usually edit a little line 4 time if that is what you're lacking. It'll allow you 3 miles and 5 minutes in the current line 1,2 or 4 status before moving you to line 3.

Hate it for the log violation. That elogs are something that I am not familiar with but the window company I started at yesterday runs them and after I finish up a week and a half on the dock for training then I get to learn how to use them. Gonna be different from paper but that is what they say.

Well my first week I averaged 1.727/mi for all miles(dh/ld'd). I didnt run as many miles as I had hoped but that was due to the holiday weekend and a afternoon delivery appt on thursday which pretty well nixed a load til friday morning. I got a decent weekend delivery that run me thru home and delivered two stops in Minnesota tuesday. Tuesday sucked wind because I sat all day before dispatched to pickup wednesday for a load to nebraska (would have been nice to have picked that up tuesday so I could have delivered it in time for the cutoff wednesday but oh well). So now Ive been empty approaching 2hrs here in Nebraska. This is the bad thing about starting new someplace. Trying to figure out the good freight lanes. Glad Im on the start right program. This week is looking less than stellar.

On a different note I averaged 7.37mpg last week. I pulled to heavy loads over us60 to arkansas and us65 north to springfield. Those really bit into my average. So far this week Im over 8mpg.

Just really watch your expenses for the first few months, and get the best mileage you can on deadheads.

Woot!! My dm came thru with a week saving load that also gets me thru home for about 24hrs. I turn the big 40 tomorrow lol. This load delivers monday so if I can get another run to delover tuesday this will be a great week. As it stands Im predicting at least 1000-1100 profit so a tuesday delivery would be gravy on top.
