Almost $900. I'll post my fixed expences when I get my first settlement. All of my paperwork is in the truck. I'm enjoying the hotels A/C and bathroom until I get dispatched.

    Scam Information:

If you see an ad about forming a New Mexico LLC to not pay any type of taxes, it's a scam. It says your LLC will own itself in New Mexico you just run it. This is false. The LLC will have to have a list of members just like any other LLC. The state won't tell anyone who the members are due the privacy laws in that state but it is there. They also talk about putting your personal assets in the company name for them to manage and using company accounts for all purchases. There is a reason you have to get a bank account for your LLC. It's to separate business and personal expenses. Run your business like a business. Doing what they suggest will void any asset protection provided by the LLC because you are using it like a personal account. In New Mexico if your LLC makes over $12000 in profits you owe federal income tax. That's the law. You only owe state tax if you live and operate in New Mexico. Any one telling you not to file taxes for any reason is setting you up for disaster.

I wish I could find the guy that was telling me he was going to participate in it but he's probably long gone by now. I tried to tell him it didn't sound legal but he had his mind made up. So I'm sharing with you guys so you don't fall for that crap.

    Later guys

    Update:

I found the guy and told him it sounds like a scam and why. I'm very happy I got to tell him what I discovered.

I've got my first dispatch. 400 plus mile deadhead to pick up in IL over the weekend and delivering in CA. Pays a little over $4k. Should more than cover my cost for the week including all the extras I charged to the truck. I hope.

    Jrdude5 Thanks this.

The interesting part will be the trip back. Only Prime tanker guy I ever talked to wasnt too keen on going out to CA cause the getting back wasnt very easy.

Although, that was a few years ago.

They have about as many loads going out as going in so I should be able to get out just fine. Pay may not be great but I'll get out, lol.

The $4,000 is that your share or the total from which you take your percentage?

That's my percentage and fuel surcharge combined. $3000 line haul and $1000 fuel surcharge.
