First Settlement:
I owe $124 this week. Can't wait until next Friday when I can give you the true grit.
I'm still organizing things I may post a pick when I'm done.
Later, GunMetal345 out!

How are you tracking your balance sheet?
-
I'm going to use Excel to track things for now. I will be looking for issues on every settlement but only plan on doing income sheet and balance sheet on a monthly basis.
-
You can set it up to do all of that automatically with links. Data input on a monthly sheet (with five weeks,) link the monthly sheets to a monthly and quarterly balance sheet set up in a profit/loss format.
Do your data entry Friday morning after you get your settlement emailed to you.Jrdude5 and Joe Leaphorn Thank this. -
I'm guessing maybe not since you mention getting yours on by email on Friday and i know ours are emailed very early Thursday morning (01-0300)
You can't pin down an exact time company settlements are ready. However they're always up after 2130, and I've seen them up as early as 1930 Wed. nightJrdude5 Thanks this. -
Same here... I usually do mine Thursday night/Friday morning, depending on when I'm driving. Definitely no later than Saturday morning.
With Excel (or the OpenOffice product) you can make it easy or hard on yourself. I just enter enough data to track the costs that I want to keep an eye on, miles, gross revenue, variable and fixed costs. About a dozen in all. Everything else is automated via the spread sheet. -
If you didn't add all extras this week would the averages posted earlier be about correct from you? I don't believe you told us what you had added that is eating your profit this week. Would you mind giving a breakdown?
Jrdude5 Thanks this. -
It will be eaten up next week. I was only charged for my insurance and what I ate at the teminal this week. Everything will be on next week's settlement. Fittings, fridge and GPS are the big expences, about $1500. I spent about $300 out of pocket for tools and storage. It will take two to three weeks to normal up.
Jrdude5, Joe Leaphorn and Wanderingaimlessly Thank this. -
Hope you don't mind the questions. I think it was nice you were able to get all that from Prime before you went out. So the tools and storage were about 300.
What kind of tools did you end up with?
I am guessing the storage was for the seat?
What GPS did you get?
Thanks for taking the time to answer.Jrdude5 Thanks this. -
I had to get a socket set and some wrenches. I had to buy everything I needed to do the job that they didn't sell at the company store. The storage was just containers to put my tools, spill kit and personal items in. They kept the seat for free, lol. I got that new Rand McNally that you can hookup to wifi and see the weather. Took me 2 hours to update it. The map update was huge.
About to do my pretrip. Laters. GunMetal345 out!Wanderingaimlessly and Jrdude5 Thank this.
