What's the point of the bunk heater if the truck has an APU? I never liked the bunk heater. Had a few times where I woke up cold and with dead batteries.

Prime sets up their APU's to charge the batteries at a given point. So you can run everything and the APU will automatically kick on when that batteries are discharged to a certain point.

They routed the air intake too close to the output on the bunk heater. When the intake air gets warm it doesn't put out much heat. I've been puttinga toolbox between the vents and it works allot better. Like to move the intake when i have time.

Also as long as you leave the APU power on (The TriPac had 2 power buttons, one main power, and one APU power) if the batteries got low the APU would kick on to charge them.Judge Thanks this.
