I put an Icom 2300h 2 meter rig in my truck. I got a commercial grade 1/2 wave whip ant for it. The ant isn't permanently mounted yet but that will be done next home time I have a mirror type NMO ant mount I ordered from Amazon and it's sitting in the mail room at the terminal.

Pretty small group now. We lost a couple guys to local gigs. Only two of us here now, actually. There is an MC version of the club in San Diego.
All members have either a class a or bike, most have both. All of us are vets or immediately related to navy department vets, or are non navy department but went to Neptune's court and can prove it.ZephyrSoCal Thanks this. -

Sooner or later, have to get my license. Been meaning to for quite some time.
Maybe by year end. -
Next time I'm in springmo I'll ask my FM if I can go over to stripes n' stuff to get my call made up in a decal so I can put it on my driver side door .

Ok,getting ready to get my 2m/70cm rig back in the truck. My last truck (before I came to Prime) was a T600 and I had no issues with swr really but I have yet to figure this Cascadia out. I dont talk on my cb specifically because the swr's are so high. What are some of you doing to get your swr's down? I seen a Wilson Freightliner Cascadia "grounded"(I put quotes because I have my doubts) mirror mount. Anybody use that? Any help here appreciated. Im thinking of running a piece of wire from the bird pirch antenna mount I currently have to a bolt inside the door on the pillar? The factory internal antenna is a joke,it runs like a 6+ on the swr meter for cryin out loud. The Wilson 2k I have swings a solid 3 on both ends on the pirch. So before I install my ham rig Id like this resolved with my cb so I have a good idea how to set up my ham antenna. Thanks
