They were not bought for their equipment. Thats all being sold off.
They one thing that was attractive was their customer relationships and contracts.

I tend to agree. Where I'm working right now I've seen a couple of O/O's with their own authority come in with rate confirmations that would be a lower rate than I would expect to have seen at Prime running the same lane after Prime took their cut.ironpony Thanks this. -
I agree with all of them prime is expensive. Also jim palmer was bought by wil-trans for the contracts and All of JP equipment is being sold off and all JP drivers are getting brand new 2015 freightliners

Dropped a Full Trailer at a Drop Yard in Colton, CA. last Night, and unfortunately for us, there were no Empties to grab on to. While scoping out the lot, I had noticed what looked like a Jim Palmer Trailer there. After not finding any Prime Trailers there, I went back, and sure enough, this was sitting there. Instead of being lead on a Wild Goose Chase for an Empty, we asked Night Dispatch if we could grab this. Got the Go Ahead to Latch on to it. I will say this: the Trailer is a 2007, and it has been used, but in no way Abused. Really nice shape for its age. Better shape than some of the Prime Trailers we pull. Figured I would get a shot of our Semi hooked up to it, as it is unlikely we will have another one hooked to it.
And to the ones on here that mentioned how to Identify JP Trailers for Prime, Thank You. It helped us out with the Qualcomm, and for Fueling. -
Plenty of JP junk lying around RTCDEN...

Did a relay with an ex jp driver in Salinas, ca the other day, not a very happy camper lol. hasn't been sent home in 5 weeks, dispatchers keep changing on him, doesn't know how much hes getting paid, etc etc. guess wil trans fired a bunch of the jp office personnel, and are keeping the jp drivers in the dark. doesn't sound likes its been a very smooth transition at all.

It's never smooth. It was strange pulling into auburndale and seeing a bunch of JP trailers. Two were loaded. Was confirmed the other day that the JP trailers will be phased out like the o&s ones were
