What a total cluster u know what this is. They overbooked the bus and nobody heading to St.Louis got to get on. They were kind enough to swap my ticket but then inform me that although they can get me to St.Louis that there was no guarantee id make it to Springfield even on the bus that is supposed to arrive at 10:30pm. For the trouble they were kind enough to offer me a voucher for a meal. Like that is gonna make it all better. Sorry I'm complaining but I want this account to be as true as possible.

Just wanted to send a quick update. It was well after midnight when I finally got into my room and settled. Being late combined with female non smoker scored me a room of my own. It is in the very back building so quiet so far.
Today I got the physical out of the way. I had hernia repair surgery in October so they are sending my surgeon a request for office notes from my last office visit and a letter releasing me to work full duties. It doesn't seem like it be an issue on this end however my doctor is slow. Hopefully they are in the ball.
Went to the interview area after but was told they were not taking more today and it would be done tomorrow. Not sure if that is the norm. It is what it is tho.
Just looked at my NC permit in the meeting this morning and noticed that my air brake endorsement is not on it. I took and passed it. Apparently some states don't put it in until you take the driving part is what I was told. When I transfer it over I will have to retake that part. Not a problem for me.
I got my CBT done but didn't make it to the simulator today. That machine seems quite intimidating. I think it is the big screens. Probably be tomorrow for that. Just gonna have to grit through and go from there.hal380 Thanks this. -
Air brake endorsement? It's pretty much covered by being class A.
And yes, that's normal to have your schedule moved around. The volume of students pretty much necessitates it.hal380 Thanks this. -
It was a pleasure meeting you.
You seem to have a good head on your shoulders & the right attitude. Think you are going to do just fine. If I was training, would take you on in a heartbeat.
Keep it up, & I wish you & hubby the best. Hope this lifestyle is a fit for you both.
Remember, any difficulties you run into soon enough will be just a "BRIDGE over troubled waters" LOL
Go get 'em, girl.Last edited: Jul 23, 2014

You had to mention bridge.
Pleasure meeting you too.
I hope to get my medical cleared up today. Then permit transfer and out to the pretrip. The simulator is a pretty awesome tool as far as training is concerned. It was quite intimidating when I got there but im getting the handle on that shifting thing. Thanks for the help on getting locked out of gear.
Today I'm hoping to get pretrip and finish the simulator work. Hard to believe it is Wednesday already. This is flying by.hal380 Thanks this. -
Thought I would post a quick update. Got all my medical squared away for the most part. They cleared me for a 2 month card so I will take it.
Got my permit all transferred and got my happy purple prime id. The picture is bleh! All that yesterday. Made it out to the pad today. Spent all day with the exception of lunch there. It was awesome. Only got to drive once but that is okay. I know once I get an instructor I will get to drive til I'm sick of it. LOL.
I had a call from a PSD instructor and something wasn't kosher. As far as I'm aware it was taken care of so it was not bad.
According to Brooke they are all caught up and there are just 2-3 students from the week before me and a lot of my class to go out with instructors. I'm planning to be out bright and early looking to meet one. Someone said the Millennium Bld first thing in the morning is a good chance.
Right now I've been going over my pre-trip paper and studying and have a quick question. Under slack adjuster and push rod I have the PMS part and the CBB part but do I need to also say "with the brakes released and pulled by hand the push rod shouldn't move more than 1 inch" or is that there for reference?
Thanks in advance folks!
PS. Any Non-smoking PSD instructor looking for a student? gotta cover all my bases.FullMetalJacket and hal380 Thank this. -
Yes you do. Best bet memorize that paper.
Charlami Thanks this.
