I finally got my ducks I a row. I applied last week and have been accepted to the PSD program starting on 7/21.

Got my permit here in NC so that is less to stress about when I get there. They had me get a tankers endorsement. Wondering if that is something new. I thought all new training was either reefer or flatbed. I didn't ask for tankers and I thought you needed a year exp for that anyways.

Regardless I'm pretty excited. Gonna have a hard time sitting still through my two weeks notice. I just wanna jump up and move.

    Yay!

    Congrats...

Tanker endorsement because the larger palletized liquid totes they load in reefers require a tanker endorsement now.

Congrats! Prime is one of the better training companies that I've found, if not THE best out there, IMO.

My wife just started training with Prime today in Springfield. She'll be working a non-driving position in the Pittston, PA terminal.

Well congrats to your wife on her new job. I'm so tired of working in a cube farm tethered to my phone that I literally have to argue myself to stay every day. It takes a special person to do that. It isn't me anymore. I'm happy to be alone and will truly enjoy the scenery even if it is looking at the ### end of other vehicles. I will still have a lot more freedom that my current place.

This is also a step to becoming the owners of our own business. After I'm able to bring my hubby out to train we plan to run hard as company drivers for a year or two and stash our cash while learning about owning a business.

While we believe at this point our plans are going to be to buy our own truck who knows if that will be our plans later down the road. Just plan to roll and enjoy being able to work with my best friend.

Hey, congrats on finally working it out.

Know you've been planning this for some time, I believe since before I even signed up here. You've definately put a lot of long term effort into research & planning for this.

Welcome.... & Best Wishes to you and your hubby. I think you will both find it a great family here.

Now........ go get 'em, slugger! :biggrin_25525:
