This is for the people who will be at prime for the PSD training at prime on 08/25/2014.
Where you from , what you do now and , what brings you to this life?
I will be there with my learners CDL in hand. I am leaving a life as a police officer because i have to make a living. I barely scrape by. My wife and I have talked and think this is the best way. I won't be taking the hound my wife is going to bring me up to Springfield. ( I've been on a hound before and seen some things ). I'm excited and nervous a all at once.
Maybe if we have some questions that aren't answered in other threads we will be able to get the guidance of the ever present IP. Hope to meet y'all at the motel !!

You must be kidding right? You cant make it on a policemans salary ?..Putting your life on the line each day, dealing with the worse kind of people society has to offer, and the city cant pay a living wage? I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but driving a truck for prime could be just more of same,(not being able to survive) How do you feel about doing things for FREE..as in prime will expect you to provide time & labor without ANY
compensation..I would suggest moving to a different city, county,or state and continue your law enforcement job..just my opinion based on 18 years of truck driving & trucking company games..Last edited: Aug 2, 2014

Good luck, but expect the worse your first year, money is very bad usually year 1. I think long term, trucking is a good industry to get into.

hey lot0210 I'm scheduled to start psd at prime on the 18th although I'm trying to get it pushed back a week to the 25th so I have a more time to get my things into storage. I'm leaving a job in sales for a new adventure in trucking, as cliché as that is. Also hoping to make a good income which is one of the reasons why I'm going with prime. I'm coming from Sacramento, CA so the bus ride is going to fun* I'm experiencing the same nervousness and excitement as its a complete lifestyle change. See ya in Spring MO
silenteagle Thanks this.
