Tell me folks is this difficult? Do I just bring the truck and trailer back to Springfield? Are they gonna come after me like ravenous dogs for their 3500 bucks? The last two weeks have been going down hill fast. I'm pretty miserable is it worth sticking it out? Are they gonna stick it to me? Anyone have any advice?

Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

What's making it so miserable?
-
My miles have dropped off considerably went from 2,000+ to 1500 or less. My dispatcher has gotten a pretty crappy attitude. I am never late, cut it close a couple times not late though. I don't know it's just frustrating, my training was with a lease operator. He does things vastly different from the way the company expects me to do them. I don't feel like my training as far as trip planning and things of that nature was sufficient.
-
Maybe tell them you would like more training ?

As TRUCKDUO suggested talk to your management and try to straighten out the problems before throwing in the towel , or your going to end up being just another job jumper in the trucking industry if you quit every time something is not right.
-
All of us go through this when we first go solo... there is still a lot for us to learn... so a few weeks on our own and we bit a crossroad... do I just throw in the towel or to I figure things out...
What did you do before... is quitting a pattern with you. .. I am not being mean here.. but, if it is a pattern then that also figures into this...
Yes, you will owe the $3500...
Only you can answer whether you want to quit or whether you want to be a truck driver...silenteagle Thanks this. -
Not a job hopper, was in a position where it was this or nothing. I have enough debt bankruptcy is an option so not worried about the 3500 bucks. No I won't continue driving a truck if I quit this job.
-
This just never ceases to amaze me. One person wants to quit, another person is happy to get hired, and around and around. How do these companies stay in business? I'm not ripping on you at all Wec, if you are unhappy, give a weeks notice, turn in the truck, and move on.
Then in 3 days we'll hear someone, "I've decided to go on with Prime, I'm so glad". Just crazy.DriverToBroker and Boy Howdey Thank this. -
If being a truck driver means making less than I would working in a warehouse slinging boxes then I sure don't need it.
-
Well.. this paints a broader picture. .. bankruptcy an option.. figuring out how to make money not interested in....
Call mom tell your coming home..broodmom, Cranky Yankee and precisionpower Thank this.
