When I was a driver, it was pretty annoying when you were trying to rest and expecting an important message or your next load info . You wanted to sleep but you also wanted that message... Any other situation and I'd just turn the volume down and sleep on...
very annoying ing to roll over and find out about some Petro shut down on the other side of the country cause they're computers were down.

Those messages while most may not apply to you, just may save other drivers a lot of time.
ironpony Thanks this. -
It could be worse. One time security sent out an emergency message fleet wide on the QC regarding a stolen trailer in the north east. I was in New Caney, TX at the time trying to sleep, and was awoken by a strange beep and "A new emergency message has arrived." I was rather unhappy when I found out what had caused me to scramble out of bed and find my QC in the front of the truck.
That being said, the QC system does support messages being sent out to only a specific geographic area (QC does it with Amber alerts), but in my 5.5 years at Prime, I'd never known them to use it. -
That "emergency message" got about 4,000 drivers all bent outta shape! -
