This "Verna" must be a dispatcher with too much time on her hands.

Verna is the fuel desk woman who thinks she's a traffic reporter.

Explain to her that it is your QC, not hers. Show her the receipt. Then ask her nicely to stop.

If Verna is the one sending messages to your Qualcomm to stop blocking the fuel island, then all I have to say is...

    ... VERNA ROCKS!

You know it's funny I was in Plymouth Indiana the other day and someone had pulled up out of the way. There were 5 empty fuel islands and some idiot pulls in behind the lone truck that's pulled up beyond the pumps. I wonder if these are the people complaining?

I was at the Sapp Bros in Denver last spring... a company guy pulls in for fuel, as I'm walking to the store. When I head out... that's a half hour later, he hasn't moved. So go back to the truck (doing some work on ol' Blue) get good 'n dirty so its back to the store... he's still sitting there, hasn't moved, and there is a line of trucks waiting to get in. So I wait until he emerges from the store... I identify myself and talked to him for awhile. This older gentleman gets a pretty good attitude going. So I end it, and head back to the truck. (Been well over an hour now.) As I'm putting my tools away, here he comes to have some more. I really hope he reported me for that! As it was, I offered to have a sit-down with him and Larsen at the terminal. He didn't take me up on it.

Yesterday, here in NH, the TA fuel desk announced that Prime truck so-and-so needed to move from the fuel island. A half hour later the same truck was parked in reserved parking without paying. TA wanted them at the fuel desk to pay up.

Its really embarrassing guys. We have the same big-lettered trailers as these slacking losers, and get judged in the same light as them. Pull up, or if you're going to be longer, park. Its just common courtesy... and your trainers should have educated you on this in TnT.

BTW, Ms Verna's missives have saved me some time here and there. She can keep on clogging the message queue.
