Probably getting fired, anybody ever had to pay back the $3500 for training?

Suppose you could offer to do something safe like work in the cafeteria...

Had two screw ups with Gordon, one on a Friday and second the following Monday my second week. Scratched a trailer then let truck roll backwards at light; gal claimed pushed her Kia Soul backwards, probably not, no damage, had to report anyway.

Gordon had just deposited $1,000 sign-on bonus into my checking account. That helped. Second, Fleet Manager kept calling me 'hon'.

    "Things happen, hon."

Still think she saw it as driver retention tool... that I wouldn't go anywhere until had stayed long enough to dig myself out of that hole.

And she was pretty much right.

I think this is a fake post just to stir things up.....

if he were serious then he.should get out of trucking now...

trucking has a bad enough reputation as it is....

There are a ton of reasons why you could be getting routed back in. After an accident you will be required to retake smith system for example, ive been routed back in for lots of stuff, qc black box update to the truck, or for service, for an install of new equipment to the truck. So just because your being routed in dont assume its going to be for a noble cause.

should have worked for Werner,,they don't fire drivers that have accidents,,had on of their drivers tear the front end of one of my trucks,,took 3 years to get paid for my claim $20,000 and they did not fire the driver.

3 accidents and not reporting 2,,sorry buddy,,need to find an other career, don't worry about paying them back,,they will dink your credit but it won't keep you from getting a credit card or a car loan..

It's 5 accidents in 3 years... at least is was under Don Lacey. Considering you've been having so much fun in just one month, I'll say it's to have a sit-down with ya. Don't be surprised if they put you back on a training truck for awhile.

Also don't be surprised if they ask you about the 2 incidents you didn't report. Safety has been known to come on here and read what is being said. If anyone remembers CageTrucker, he had a picture of one of his tattoos as his avatar, and Don Lacy came up to him in Springfield and called him by his name on here.

Why dont you call them and ask them straight. Take it like a man. Simple as that so you'll know if your job is jeopardized or not.

As for the actual question. They'll do a payment plan and work with you.
