If your student wrecks the truck you are responsible for the costs. During my trainer class we were told it would be taken care of by prime. My TNT student hit another companies trailer with our trailer 2 weeks ago minimum damage today I seen they took 500 dollars from me for trailer liability . I called my FM and claims who both informed me its my risk and responsibility. Needless to say this will be the last guy that drives my truck besides me

i thought this was pretty much common knowledge, I know when I went through the class about a year ago it was explained like that and I was reminded about it when I went lease a few months ago.

It was explained to me students are covered under primes insurance of course there is no written policy on the subject that I can find . had I known that was a risk I had to take I would have never started training that risk of one student putting you into debt for years I'd not worth the rewards to me.

I get that now ! However I was not aware of it before . if that is their policy that's fine I won't argue with it however I will not be training again like I said not a risk I'm willing to take

I would ask for a copy of the document with that company policy on it. It someone doing the training is BSing it should be brought to someones attention.

So. You jumped in without talking to other prime trainers... if you had then you would of known the risk and able to make a better informed decision. ...

I dont work for prime, but I knew it from here on TTR and having talked to a couple prime trainers at a truckstop.. just chatting while waiting in line at a truckstop....

There are things you just dont want to learn by accident..
