I was just curious as to what the main difference was between the PSD and TNT training? I thought PSD was out on the road with a trainer?

PSD is Prime student driver. You are with a trainer. That's for people who don't have their CDL yet. TNT is trainer n trainee I think. That's where you team with a trainer for 40k miles.

Oh ok, makes more sense. they said I had to go out with a trainer for 40k but wasn't sure if that was the PSD or TNT haha.
Thank you for the quick reply!

I assume you already have a CDL, but lack experience. You'll come in as a C-seat, do the orientation week, and will be assigned a TnT trainer on Friday. You'll have 40k miles +/- depending on what your trainer and FM recommend before you upgrade to A-seat, solo-qualified. Read through the following...

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...27-new-prime-inc-what-expect-springfield.html

Ignore everything that says "PSD" or anything about getting your permit. Your agenda will be different from the PSD guys, but you'll be mixed in with a lot of the same classes as necessary. Your week ends on the first Thursday when you get your company ID/fuel card, and will most likely be on the road over that first weekend. C-seat starts at $600 before taxes and deductions now, and you'll be bumped to B-seat and $700 after the first month. You start being paid once you're actually on the truck and the wheels are turning. It'll help to have some money available (checking account with a debit card is something you need before you get there) to get by for the first week or two until your settlements start coming in, but you'll have a meal card for orientation and a room at the Campus Inn. Make sure you have your FMs phone number before you leave the yard, and it does help to give him a call and let him know how you're doing once a week. Best advice for money over the road is put some on the personal side of your fuel card for cash expenses. The majority is best dealt with via direct deposit, do your bills via the internet and internet banking.

I believe its still 10k for the PSD credit. C-seaters always did get bumped after a month IIRC.

I haven't taken a c seat in some time. I picked up psd and keep me all the way through.

In TNT you need to know how to mainline caffeine, if you're not used to sleeping in a moving truck and probably driving mostly nights.
