Hey guys, I am just getting started with Prime. I have read this forum for a long time and appreciate all of your input and shared wisdom. I started orientation this past Monday, the 20th. I am ready and excited to get out there and learn how to drive. I am done with orientation, still here in Springfield, but I have not been assigned an instructor yet, and then it dawned on me, why not ask here? So if you are looking for a student that is hungry to learn and has set a goal to tri-fecta, then please send me a message.

    A little about me:
    Male
    35 years old
    Non-smoker
    Washington State
    No wife/No kids

If anyone has any advice or anything to say, please post!

Don't sign a lease with prime. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice - much appreciated. I am only interested in learning driving skills and getting my CDL at this point. I'll leave the business end of things until I'm ready to tackle that. I'm approaching this one step at a time.

Says the guy that probably doesn't even work for Prime, so he wouldn't know if the lease is bad or good.

Dang good advice... at least for a couple of years. Stay on the company side until you get things figured out.

Says the guy who probably has a lease with prime and is quietly angry with himself for thinking that the bigger truck was worth it and now is training idiots just to almost make his payment. Sorry for your mistake. You'll pay it all back eventually.

Having a good time out here on the pad at Prime East yesterday and today. Going over the pre-trip inspection and doing some backing. Still looking for an instructor.

The company will assign one to you. A trainer, not an instructor.
