Or, he/she was driving in the right-hand lane and had to brake hard and swerve into the free and clear left-lane to avoid something/someone. Maybe the driver was passing someone who suddenly swerved over.

The whole point is....NO ONE knows what happened so don't take someone's word for what happened with no proof (pictures, news links, etc..) and go guessing. BTW....I am not a truck driver, but I see them get blamed quite a bit for idiots in passenger vehicles.

Truck drivers get blamed more then any other occupation.Coming from someone who has been otr for 11 yrs if a driver has to brake that hard to avoid a 4wheeler then hes following too closely. They teach all that in school..I use to travel that route twice a week and never had any problems with any 4wheelers.You're correct,we don't know what happened but there's no reason to swerve or brake hard when especially hauling loads and more so heavy loads.I see no reason why the load should have shifted that much to cause it to ultimately land all over the ground.

You and the OP weren't there when it happened... all you've done is speculate and assumed the entire event was completely at fault for the truck driver when, AT BEST, no conclusion is warranted one way or the other.

The load should not have come apart like that is what im mainly saying.Don't know what happened and you're right im speculating too much. But what I do know it is the drivers fault for not securing the load.No cop will dispute that.Do you honestly think Prime won't give him a preventable for this?

What a disappointment! Leaving this closed. But like others have said....NO ONE knows what happened, and there is no reason to get in a bicker fest just speculating. Too many variables.
