    Good for you man, that's gotta be exciting! What are your plans after? Still going to pull for prime?
    Am I required to have an APU? I've never had one before i usually just roll the window down unless in the summer time. That's the only time I may have issues. A driver told me that they have bunk heaters so that's good. How much additional is an apu?

    $70 per week... ask leasing. I'd highly recommend having one for lower fuel costs, but more importantly idling for any length of time puts the engine into a operating situation that creates a lot of soot. It clogs both the EGR gizworkins, and the DPF filter. Anything that causes problems with these systems can lead to large amounts of downtime. While Prime will keep you whole with downtime pay, it doesn't replace lost revenue. $70 per week is cheap insurance.

    I did not know that, anyways not a problem I may really love having one anyways!
    IP, what is your average running speed to get the best fuel mileage? The LO I talked to today said he runs 62 and he's getting 8.1. Thought that was pretty good. And is it ALWAYS the case that the slower you drive the better mpgs will be? I talked to a driver with a Pete and he said his truck didn't do well running slow and he actually got better running mid to high 60's but he seemed very ####y and pretty dumb so who knows lol. I'm going to go into this with dedicated to keep my fuel costs low low low. Also do you suggest fueling at the bigger places VS. Smaller mom & pops?

    Where do you all come up with this crap? They don't do 10k before they do their 30k, it's 75 hours behind the wheel, and I can tell you as a trainer myself there's a heck of a lot of training going in during the TNT phase.

    It's ok. I'm really just completely ignoring everyone that has no experience with prime or leasing with prime, giving there 1 penny thoughts. I like to hear from actual drivers/lease drivers. I think they may know a little more of what there talking about vs someone that has no experience with them. Imagine that right? I really don't want this thread to turn into a bashing or arguing about why leasing is bad. I'm a big boy and can make my own decesions, but like to get as much information as I possibly can. Prime sounds like a good place to accomplish what MY goals are. So if you don't have experience with prime or leasing with prime, please just save your comments on this thread.

    reycer, what has your experience been like at prime? Are you lease? Company? Do you train? And most importantly how do you like it?

    I lease, I am an instructor/trainer and I absolutely love my job. Prime treats me very well. I have an amazing team backing me up as well. All the way from my FM, to my road assist guy, logs lady (Debbie) and my payroll secretary. They are amazing and are always bending over backwards to make me successful. I'm home with Prime and won't go anywhere else.

    Good for you man, seems to be a pattern. Can you tell me what a "road assist" guy does? And payroll secutary?
    And I know IP has taken the classes, have you taken some? And when and how many can I attend? What are they about and how useful are they?
