What your quoting is the TNT phase, not the PSD. If you come to Prime and already have a license but no experience you will have to do 40,000 miles with a trainer, if you PSD here at Prime you are given a 10,000 mile bonus. Whereas you only have to do 30,000 with a trainer.

During the PSD phase you are required to drive 75 hours before you can test.

Wipper... something else: those numbers aren't set in stone. There's some +/- based on evaluation the individuals skill set, acquired tickets, accidents, etc. Inexperienced CDL holders get to do 40k, but students who have graduated from PSD (after a minimum of 75 hours of instruction) with a brand new CDL are given a 10,000-mile credit toward that 40,000-mile requirement. The wording of how the program works can be a bit confusing.

Experienced CDL holders may step straight into their own truck depending on Safety's evaluation of their skill set; they might get a week or two with a trainer too.

I just talked to a recruiter very nice woman. She said that I shouldn't have to go out with a trainer. I really don't need any training, she said with 1 year that "shouldn't" happen. Hopefully that doesn't happen. And would it be something they told me about before I left? And she told me orientation for lease drivers are 3 days

Most likely that's correct. Experienced drivers with no breaks in service generally step right into a truck, however it is up to safety. If you spend any time at all with a trainer most likely it would only be a week or two - worst case. You should know before you head out for orientation. Your orientation will be DOT physical, drug test, a couple of days of classes, and you should be stepping into a truck on the third day. Make sure you get hooked into a Smith System class before you head out on your first load, and you will have to stop at outbound to get the minimum equipment required for whichever division you elect to run in. With reefer, it's load locks, trailer lock, and minimum chain set for Colorado. Don't expect a whole lot on dispatch out of the terminal, I usually shoot for something short just to get me back out into the freight lanes.

How much say do you have in the type of runs and areas you run in?
Say if I want to do only high dollar next day/same day delivery freight in the Northeast, will they work with you and aim to find/give you those loads?

I got a call back from Tammy about my DAC having a "unauthorized use of company equipment"
i explained it all to her and she said I should be fine, but now I'm stressin. this was the email I sent explaining myself. Let me know what yall think.

I'd like to explain myself, for the reason of my DAC having a negative report about me leaving Roehl transport. I gave my fleet manager my 2 week notice, and I explained at that time that I needed to be in ellenwood, GA, no later then 3-3:30 pmin order for me to make my bus ride to St. Louis, MO so I could attend orientation the following day at my new company that had already been scheduled. My fm insured me that would no issue. I finished my 2 weeks, I got routed to my home so I could empty out my truck. I told him I would be ready to leave Monday morning. Again, he assured me that there wouldn't be an issue of getting me in Ellenwood by the time I requested. I got to my truck at 4:30am, Monday, to find a load taking me to jacksonville fl, that had a live unload scheduled for 2:30pm. I called right away and explained to night dispatch why I could not take that particular load. They told me to sit tight until 7am for my day dispatcher to come in. I did, and I called him at 7, he then told me to wait and he would find me a load. I waited for 2 hours and if I had waited any longer I would be late and miss my bus. I called my fleet manager, and told him that I would be on my way to Ellenwood and if he found a load on the way up, I'd have no problem taking it. And to call me.He said, no problem. I got to Ellenwood, and never received a phone call from anybody the whole ride up.

I was informed later on that they had messed my DAC report up. It bothers me greatly that I tried everything I could to do the right thing, gave plenty notice, communicated properly, I was patient in waiting for a load, over 4 hours I waited. I wanted to turn the truck back at the closest terminal to prevent my DAC from getting bruised. I really hope this will not be an issue. I assure you that I am a very good, safe, respectful driver. I work very hard and I believe I will make all that known in my first few weeks driving for prime, inc.
Thank you for giving me the chance to explain myself, and I hope that this isn't going to prevent me from having a career at prime. Thanks for your time
