Hello all,
New to the forum, not totally new to the trucking industry. Went to Stevens for my CDL back in '11, thought I could do better on lease than a $.26 CPM company driver. Burnt out and disillusioned with the industry, went back to normal life and let my CDL lapse
. I love driving (six years off & on as a cabbie) and loved being on the road so I'm going to take another crack at this. After doing a lot more research than I did the first time, I'll be starting with orientation at Prime SpriMo on 21 December. It'd be sooner but I need a couple more paydays from the cubicle farm I'm at and need 30 days on CPAP for DoT purposes.
MANY thanks to SilentEagle and FMJ in particular for their threads regarding life at Prime. Looking forward to using what I learned about myself the last couple of years to produce a better outcome this time around. Hope to see some of y'all out on the road.

The training was decent enough but they pimp the heck out of the lease program
...I thought I knew a little about it from being a O/O cab driver, least as far as keeping operational costs down

Hey, wish you the best this time around.
Just my opinion, but has been a fantastic company for me over my last year experience. No regrets here at all.
Have there been frustrating moments & issues along the way? Absolutely! Going to happen anywhere, especially in this industry. But, have to say I have had not one issue with company itself. They are there for me & behind me whenever needed.
As far as lease pimping. I have always been aware of the options, but NEVER ONCE over the last year has it ever been brought up or pushed to me. That's up to us to initiate if so desired.

Notice given to current employer today...class bumped up to the 19th...racking up days on CPAP

Drove in from Houston, got to SPRIMO about 0000...checked in and
0620 up n at'em! No time for breakfast 
but oh well...paperwork, drug test/physcial/interview done, got lunch in me and studying up for DMV testing, will roll out to handle that in a few...like the setup here and folks seem friendly...had one malcontent already leave of their own volition...
