Simple answer.
The trucks running 55 are running for fuel economy.
The trucks running 63/64 are running against the governor.Adrienna Brown, albert l and Danfromwindsor Thank this. -
Company trucks are governed at 59. Lease are
at 65. -
Danfromwindsor Thanks this.

Just because it's governed at 62 or 65 doesn't mean you HAVE to run at 62 or 65. It's like just because your car tops out at 120 mph doesn't mean you HAVE to drive it at 120 mph.
We are financially enticed to run slower and maintain a higher fuel economy.littleduck Thanks this. -
55 MPH drivers are guys that have an illusion they are saving all kinds of cash by getting better fuel mileage, while in reality they are missing out on an extra load or two because they are going to slow. There's your reality.Straight Stacks and Prodigal_Son Thank this. -

I love it when you have a 55 MPH truck and a 65 MPH truck both going to the same place , the 55 MPH truck gets there at his correct delivery time while the 65 MPH TRUCK sits griping about sitting for 2 hours waiting for his appointment and the big $ load he is going to miss because of it.
Dinomite Thanks this.
