Just like the title asks, how hard is it? I only deal with my fleet manager once a month when it is time to go home and then go back to the Walmart DC. It is becoming a pattern that it is extremely difficult to reliably make that happen. I am developing serious trust issues with my fleet manager. Quite simply, I don't really trust him to stick to what he says. Anybody out there have to change the managers, how hard was it to do?.

Load planners cant even see your truck if dedicated to the DC and not a local driver slipseating. Local drivers slipeating are on fleets run by those guys. You are totally planned by those guys there in TN. And in my experience they are always trying to push another load on a truck rather than honor a home counter.

You have to be on top of your fleet manager early cause he has to goto the regular planners and let them know you are needing a load home home from outside the DC pool. Mindful he always got the guys at the DC saying 1 more load etc...

Good of luck as a company driver getting a new fleet manager.

What I mean to say is you are attached to the DC, not on a DC fleet, but a regular company fleet. So unlike everyone else on your fleet managers board, your truck is planned by the Prime staff at the DC and the regular load planners can't even see your truck for loads in the area (non DC) without the guys at the DC or your FM letting them know your are needing a load out. (Be it home, springfield etc)
