It's what they do here in Michigan. They hide just behind the guard rails or tree line then, right at the exact moment you can neither avoid nor stop, they JUMP! Next thing you know, BAM. And suddenly there's all kind of red all over the vehicle.

 

They will be glad you hit the deer instead of swerving into the ditch or causing and accident. You will be fine.
