I've decided to make sort of a continuation of my other thread here because I've decided on Prime as my first choice to apply to. They're not too far from home, their training program seems to be well spoken of here, and they pay good. Even the $600/wk during training would be more money than I've ever seen in my life; even more than the factory job I had once. That's what I make in 2 weeks at Walmart!
Picking up where I left off, I got the go ahead from a coworker to use him as a reference and I've started studying the IL CDL study guide on my breaks at work. I've filled out the application, it's pretty much complete, except I haven't submitted it yet because I need to get one minor thing cleared up. It's about the question "Were you involved in any accidents/incidents with any vehicle in the last 5 years (even if not at fault)?" As stated in my previous thread, I've not had any car-on-car accidents or even a seat belt ticket in the last 7 years, however I did hit a deer 2 or 3 years ago. I turned it in to my insurance company, but we didn't involve the cops or anything like that. Does hitting a deer count on this question?

deers do not count
-
I would put it on the app since it went through your insurance, they shouldn't hold it against you. Just don't want it to look like you were trying to hide it.
Alec Trevelyan Thanks this. -
If hitting a deer counted I'd be in big trouble.
Absolutely nothing to worry about. -
Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't too worried about it, just wanted to make sure I wasn't withholding something that they would want to hear about.

Don't worry about the deer accident, just note it on your app and if they ask questions answer them truthfully. But usually the driving record stuff that shows up is accidents that have had the cops write up something.
I look forward to reading how your adventure with prime goes. I've been here since June and love being here. My old company tried calling me today to see if I would come back. Even after the pay raise they offered me I still make more at prime. You made the right choice! Good luck. -
