Will be coming to Springfield 3/19 for orientation. Will get my CDL Permit in AZ and CDL via Prime's training. I'm very happy to be coming on board with Prime. Sheryl is my Recruiter, she's great!
Spent part of 2013 & 2014 as an O/O RV Hauler for CWRV in Elkhart, IN. Used my Class D license as a commercial driver. Could only haul 26,000 lbs combined GVWR. Was subject to HOS and all other FMCSA rules, including inspections at the scales. Used my 2001 F350, slept in the back seat every night. Used a Honda EU2000i generator with a ceramic heater in the cab to stay warm at night and provide 120v for toaster, coffee maker and computer. Added a 5 gallon aux marine tank to give 72 hrs running time. Coldest night last year for me was -24 in Chemult, OR, then -20 at Little America in WY. Had to install the extreme cold weather kit on the Honda as it would die around -20. Really looking forward to a real sleeper! Made pretty good money hauling RV's, CWRV pays the best rates. It's all about watching expenses and MPG.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to meeting and working with the guys and gals at Prime. Have spent a lot of time on this forum over the last couple years and for me, Prime looks like a great fit. Thanks to the Prime drivers who have written some great material on this forum (IP & silenteagle among others).
I'm finally pulling the trigger on what I've wanted to do since I was a kid.

Sheryl was my recruiter as well. She's great. I wanted to go say hi when I first got to Springfield, but sadly she works in Oklahoma.
