Here at Shelbyville the shop is in process of switching out every truck from singles to duals. There is talk that it may happen fleet wide. Anyone else heard anything regarding this?

They've been doing it at Olney, too. Right now it's just the slipseat trucks, but after some events this winter season, I'd happily take a set of duals on my tractor.

    Chucktshoes Thanks this.

It's a good idea, the singles blow especially in slippery conditions = multiplied safety issues.

I've run on them for years now with zero problems. If you maintain your tires adequately, you don't get blow outs, and blaming an accident in bad weather on tires is just a cop out by a piss poor driver.

    Its a Walmart fleet thing.

I'm with IP. If you can't handle a truck with super singles, how do you figure duals will compensate for a lack of skills?
