You get paid once you have your CDL and go out in the second phase of training, known as the TnT (trainer 'n trainee) phase. You don't get paid during the PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase, when you are out with your learner's permit.

Now I have a question for the Prime literati...
Does Prime offer any kind of corporate matching on charitable donations? For example, if I donate $10/week to a 501(c)(3) organization, will Prime add anything to the total? -
Hey All,
i was looking at a couple of videos on YouTube and they showed both the lightweight and regular Prime trucks with a built in stero with Sirius. Is this something Prime pays for or the driver needs to pay if they want the service?
At this point I have gathered about all the info I need and I plan to apply in about 3 weeks. Really looking forward to this new adventure.
cheers,
Gary
oh yea one more question: about how long is PSD in days / weeks? -
The stereo is provided, bit you have to pay for the service.
As far as PSD, I arrived for orientation on 7/7 and got my CDL on 7/31. So around 3 weeks.CuriousG Thanks this. -

Americans for Hunger (or something like that), matching funds from 10/15 - 10/31.
Haven't heard of anything other than that, or anything permanantly in place. -

So getting frustrated, applied to Primes PSD program, spoke to a recruiter Tuesday who told me he needed to go over my application and asked me to call the next day at 1500 local (NJ) time. Seemed a reasonable request. I call next day at 1500, no answer vmail full. Call at 1600 same story. Leave email mentioning phone calls, asking for a status update and saying I will call Thursday at 1500 if I do not receive a response. Call Thursday 1500, finally some good news, I can leave a voice mail! Now it is Saturday 1600, I have not received a phone call, email, text message, carrier pigeon response. Not happy, especially after reading the positive driver responses on this forum.

I applied on Thursday myself, also spoke with a lady named Tammy. Everything I have read and heard says give it about a week. I would not worry to much if your application looks good I am sure they will call you. I'm anxious to get started too, but being patient is a good attribute for a driver as well I hear.
cheers,
Gary
