Ok, I am looking into PTL in Murry, KY. Are they a pretty decent company to stick it out with to get experience, as long as I can get 6 months, if they hire student drivers? This is not my first choice but just wondering :biggrin_25511:

I don't mean anything toward you but I have seen previous post in almost all the threads and most are negative. Do you even Drive and if you do, How do you get a Job with such a LONG LONG work history. Do you work for a month and quit and think of something negative to say about them.. I like to have another opinion on this, does any one know if they hire student drivers?

I work for them, not on the company side though. I do know they treat company drivers better than the owner ops or lease drivers. The things i do know about the company drivers is that they are paid .30cpm after they cross the Mississippi. You WILL spend a LOT of time in Texas.

The dispatchers you will never meet as they sit in TN. part of the company sits in Murray KY and part in another part of KY. For the most part they treat you like crap and the dispatchers couldn't push a shopping cart thru an empty Walmart. Long waits for dispatches and long waits for Deliveries. Way too much time on loads.

    Good luck

I saw their ad in one of the truck stop magazines. Says no forced Northeast and home weekly if you live in the Atlanta area (among others) which I do. Anybody know if this is true and what the lowdown is?

Nevermind, I read enough posts to mark this company off the list.

These folks are telling you the truth. However you might want to work for them for a little bit. So any other company would seem great to you. Did you know their offices in Murray is basically a trailer park? Connected together by a wood deck. Doubt you could find a place that could treat or pay you worse. Crappy everything.
Hey if you a felon, or not the best record, go there. Most of their drivers are not the best of the best, if they was.........why would they be there????? There are a few companies out there that all other drivers laugh at...can you guess one of them companies???
