Well I failed the DOT physical for my eye sight. They are sending me home so I can get it corrected. I can't return till it is. This sucks:biggrin_25516:

Spoke to them today, I am approved to come back to have my eyes retested ( I had to have my eye doctor send a fax that said my eyes will be corrected with my new glasses) the only question is when. Hopefully soon. They will tell me on Monday. I'm tired of WAITING....

Orientation is 2 days they start on Monday or Wednesday. Don't know much about the refresher course but I would assume you go out with a trainer for a bit of time. The hotel The Magnolia Inn is pretty bad, but it was similar to the one I went to at Prime. You will have a roommate. The thing I hated the most was you had to walk if you wanted to go to a store.

My class was 23 16 company and 7 L/O. Only about half the people could get there due to weather.

Took the bus yesterday to return to Murray. Arrived at the Inn and a reservation had not been made fro me. Called PTL and they faxed over the form.

This morning I was told to call Safety at 8. I did so and went to the clinic to recheck my eyes. I still did not have the minimum of 20/40 I had 20/50. they had to get back to my eye doctor for him to certify I was 20/30. This took 4 hours. They gave me a DOT card only good for 6 months due to them saying my diabetes is not under good enough control for them. I need to get back with my own doctor and have him certify I am under control.

I then had to go to safety and wait 2 hours for the VP to ok me to drive. that finally done I went over to where I had orientation to get my driver pack consisting of my fuel card and expense comm data card.

I was then told to go upstairs to truck assignments. I get there around 4 o'clock and was given a voucher for the Inn again and a card for dinner and told to return there at 12:30 PM. They might have a truck for me.

Met about 6 other divers here who are also waiting on trucks.
