I will be attending orientation with PTL on 1/6/14. I was fired from my last trucking job for knocking over a pole in a Walmart parking lot.

I work another job doing PLC programming when not driving. I am going back to trucking because I cant find a programming job. I have my own company but no work.

I have about 1 years experience in the last 3 years. I applied to about 10 companies and PTL is the only one to give me another shot at driving. I really like being out on the road.

I will try and report my experiences as I progress.

In the middle of the night there's lots of room, day time is another matter, I've taken 53' trailers to walmart's to deliver Christmas trees in front of the stores in the afternoon and it was not the easiest thing I've ever done, cars everywhere as you know. Why are so many on this site so very quick to jump to conclusions? just asking, now I'm sure I'll be jumped on.

Good luck to you. I know it's hard to transition from another field.just take it slow and use the "smith system" techniques. The hardest part is to admit that you screwed up and ask for another shot. Just be safe and take your time. Everybody hits something intheir career. Just move on.

Cmon guys.. it's not about the pole. .. the man is coming back to trucking and I am sure he will be watching out for poles next time...

It's not like he was on drugs and killing people like the guy this morning complaining about being fired for testing positive...
