About a month. Worst experience of my 30+ years driving. I have only brought home $480 in a month and have been on the road all but 4 days this month. They give you short runs with 3 to 4 days til delivery date.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad run at PTL. Your experience has certainly not been mine. My paychecks have been very stable. I average somewhere around 450-500 miles daily. Pickup Monday deliver Tuesday & so forth. My weekends usually have a 900-1200 mile run so I just roll. Not sure who your fleet manager is but I'd get another if you have that many issues. And I don't quite understand what a crap load is? A load to haul is just that in my opinion. I couldn't care less what is in the box or where it goes.

Perhaps the attitude you display in this posting is part of the problem no? I mean no disrespect as you've driven many years so perhaps you're a better fit elsewhere? Also I'd never do a lease-purchase deal with any company. Pay for somebody else's truck to haul their freight? No thank you I'll happily work under the company umbrella.

Well I started with this company went through orientation its amazing how much stuff you can sign and do in 2 days here as far as what they go over. Well finished that started phase 1 everyone so far I met has been real professional well I talk to my trainer he seems professional and nice. OK we get in truck to leave and he completely changes we need to pick load up about 2 hours away. Well the guy supposed to be training me wants to stop at Walmart he buys stuff for the truck a fridge and other things he puts it in takes a long time doing that and then cleans truck out and then we get going down road I'm driving he has me stop again at truckstop says he will be right back wants to go buy cigarettes he takes forever in store finally I go in to see what's Taking so long he is on phone arguing with wife ok finally we get back going. We pick up empty trailer and go to pick up due to him dragging around we are a few minutes late on our appointment time and we don't get loaded. It is Friday night when this happens now it is Saturday and We are stuck without load just sitting when if my trainer wasn't dragging around we would've had a good load of about 1500 miles to delivery. But now looks like we are going to be stuck till Monday here. PTL staff seems good and company seems OK so far but wish they had better people as trainers cause my trainer smells keeps dirty truck and is slow.

I had a good experience in phase 1, did 7,200 miles in 10 days my trainer was very good. Phase 2 me and partner did 21,000 miles in 23 days,,,,I need 9,000 to upgrade to 1st seat solo..so its been a good deal for me,,,,very tiring !!! What is your trainers first initial?? just curious :)....Hang in there and STAY POSITIVE!! You will be fine,,,,

Just remember: There are people out there that have the sole purpose of making things hard on you. That is what they live for. There is at least one in every division of every company, sometimes more. I drove for PTL back in 2006-2007. They complained about idling. They didn't pay much. Other than that, they weren't all that bad. Sure, some of the pickups were long waits. Home time was ok, but not great. I have a wife and kids that were active back then and I got heartbroken that I missed so much with them.

I may go back to work for them. My wife has an inner ear condition that makes it so she can't work. So we are looking to go on the road together. Providing PTL's rider policy allows. I'm hoping to get into their refresher program, but I need to call a recruiter.

    Anyways, safe travels to all.

Yes I understand just trying not to let a bad Apple spoil the tree I know it isn't ptl fault I'm just ready to get done with phase 1 I already have phase 2 partner picked out and he seems like a pretty good guy. A is his first initial well looking forward to phase 2 once I move on from this guy. He just sits and cusses wife out all day on headset while I drive. Lol just trying to laugh it off makes me feel better about myself. Good luck to y'all out there

I agree it's a great starter company. I'm on my last load of phase 2. Once you get started on phase 2 try not to take a lot of breaks. Me and my P2 took hometime after we got over 15000 for 6 days and we are going to still finish our phase 2 in about 6 weeks.
