Yep I sure do. NYC & NE don't bother me at all. Since I live in Western NC close to Daimler, which we haul lots of loads for, I go into the NE plenty. I like getting the bonus pay for it too. It really adds up if you do a multiple stop load up there. The traffic & strange routing does suck but I did it for years before with JB Hunt so it doesn't really bother me. I also get to haul more than my share of
Hazmat so I've not limited my options for any available load. -
As far as recovering a truck you might not have a choice. Kevin Fox handles that & if nothing is in Murray you'll either go to W Memphis or recover a truck that a driver abandoned or quit & refuses to return. It's no big deal & depending on where you go it pays decent to do it.

Good information. To they normally let someone keep one of the double bunks. Tell me about the home time to. Cause I want to take my girlfriend to visit her family in September or October
-
The double bunks are normally reserved for trainers & Phase 2 teams if I'm not mistaken. My truck is luck of the draw I guess. I'm not sure why I got to keep it but I'm sure if they want it for training purposes they'll tell me.
Home time is 1 day home for every 6 out which is the industry standard for the most part. Take it when you want but I go by a schedule prescribed to me by Driver Support so I take my home time 1st of the month & stay out the rest of the time. I'm usually out 26 days or more. It's grueling at first but once you get used to it & build up some stamina there's nothing to it. But you can do it whenever you want & do t have to go by their schedule. The choice is yours.
Oh oh & take your girlfriend whenever you want. Any passenger has to be at least 18 & sign the insurance form from Safety.DMungioli36 Thanks this. -
What is the prescribed schedule.

Well picking up my third load with my trainer. About 2200 miles completed. Only 2800 hundred left till I'm done with this phase
-
I just completed phase 1 on the 21st of June. Started Orientation on 2 June, Linked up with trainer 6 June. I got 3400 miles my first 6 days (not counting trainer miles), hit my 70 hour mark, on the 13th of June and had to reset..Run 1 Murray KY to Laredo TX, run 2 Laredo TX to Columbus OH, run 3 OH to El Paso TX, run 4 El Paso to Chicago....after reset things slowed down, shorter runs and longer waits to deliver. I pulled 6 trailers and all were in good shape. I start phase 2,,,well,,, when I get back to Murray most likely 30 June. It will be interesting to see who I wind up with, ratjer how long it will take me to find a driver I want to run the 30K with LOL!! Really looking forward to knocking it out and going solo first seat.

I had just short of 5000 when they pulled me in to end phase 1
