Back in the old days we fixed our own trucks, repaired flat tires and welded trailers and shoveled BS like this. Pull over and you can drive and I'll shovel for a while.
    1st, you signed on
2nd Give 110 percent to the man
3rd Do any job and if you cry to them like you do on here you will sit till you quit
4th I ran trucks in 110 degree Texas weather with no AC and hole in the floor with over a million miles on them
5th I've run every kind of combo you can imagine including cabover sleeper with no AC across the old 66 in the summer
6th You're just a baby, wean yourself and get to work, get some experience and come back with a better attitude.

I have to say I agree with Passin Thru. You admittedly placed your priorities on the equipment and not miles. Sometimes you have to just suck it up. Good luck driver.

2011 Cascadia's are our oldest trucks, and every 1 I've seen was way ####tier interior wise, than mine. That's why I thought, better to stay in mine til they upgrade to a BETTER truck. Thanks to the recruiter putting it in my head that they get rid of these after 300K, I was expecting that to happen around May, after my first 6 day breakdown occurred. And I HAVE been trying to get a new truck for months, but didn't think downgrading was a good idea, since I live in this thing 26days or more/month. I actually still love my truck, other than all the engine problems. Btw, our 2011 Cascadia's are currently being turned in for 2015 Cascadia's and I was hoping they'd assign me one of those. After all, I'm doing everything they've asked so far, so why not reward a good driver. No accidents or tickets here either.

I can only compare to my 1st company Schneider. PTL pays me .33 instead of .32 at Schneider. PTL trucks are not equipped with annoying censors for hard breaks, stability detectors that make you have to go to a terminal and do trainings if you set em off, and our trucks are governed at 65mph instead of 60mph in most Schneider's. PTL does 70% of business in Texas, I love TX. And a lot in Georgia, where I live, and I love GA. PTL gives the option of delivering to Northeast or not, and if you choose to it's $75 per trip or $100 to NYC, even though I chose not to do those routes, after experiencing that with Schneider. What else? Hmmm not much else is any better or worse, that I can think of right now.

Something you might consider is PTL's note keeping on it's drivers.
Might try and get a peek, or ask the dispatcher what's there, just
for peace of mind. Just that this type stuff can become sticky.

Cutting me off is one thing, but not telling me til afterwards is what really pissed me off. I would've made different decisions had I known about it. I man up everyday with this job, and run hard. But I woke up this am 2hrs b4 my alarm, pissed and fed up, felt like venting, and warning other drivers looking to come here, what really goes on even if you do just about everything they want.

No company I've heard replaces trucks at 300k. At least 500k because, as I understand it they are under warranty till then. U say you man up do this job if that was the case you would take the offered truck and get rolling. Also you can't be making the same amount in breakdown pay as when you turn miles weekly. If I was you id call them tell them youd take anything available, drive it till it breaks and then get another, and so on. Also why do u have so much stuff u can't put it in another truck. I understand fridge, microwave etc, but lighten your load. Have you not noticed PTLs equipment on the interstate its crap.

I guess by now you know it won't get any better as long as you're there.I don't doubt for a minute you live up to your screen name. It's time to move on.You have the exp to find a much better company that has well maintained equipment.
