Thank you, I am staying as patient as I can because I know that there are going to be times where things just aren't gonna go my way.

Hey Good luck!, PTL was one of the companies I was looking at last year before I have decided to move out west (Leaving may of 2015). What is sad, I live two miles out side of their hiring area...

Try using the zip code that's within the hiring area.

Perhaps PTL might be able to accommodate you if you are only 2 miles away from their hiring area. Have you asked about this?

Also, would you be able to move 2 miles away into their hiring area? I realize that this would be much easier if you rented an apartment vs. owned a house.

    Good luck to you!

Hey buddy ! I just got home. Gotta be back Monday and hopefully the trainers are there like they say. I know wishful thinking. We're gonna have a lot to laugh about when we get back Monday. My only issues with PTL is the unprofessionalism. Its okay for you to lie to us for a week about phantom trainers, and expect us not to be upset about the whole situation. No one wants to take responsibility for their lies. And then the nerve of them to threaten to fire people who voice there opinions about their problems.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but here it is. All trucking companies, every single one, tell lies to their drivers. That's a simple fact. Whatever it takes to get you into the left seat & hauling freight is what they do. The average tenure for new hires industry wide is around 4 months I think. That kind of turnover means that just about all drivers that come thru the door aren't there long enough for it to matter. I can tell you PTL has somewhere in the area of 150+ trainers & they stay consistently busy with a new student every 3 weeks on average. The holidays are a bad time for new hires due to drivers taking time off so you have to expect some issues.

Ill also catogorically call false on your claim of threatening to fire people for voicing their opinions. Sorry bud but I've been here over 7 months & haven't had any blowback from anybody when I've vented my frustrations. And I've had my share here. But everybody from Operations Director Kevin Fox to the Executive VP Tom Stephens who I personally dealt with made sure my issues were resolved. No threats of firing here. I do my job as a driver that is expected of me & having worked for 3 other companies in the past before leaving this biz for over 5 yrs I can tell you that PTL has treated me no different than the other companies. In fact I was treated fairly at all but 1 of the 3 truth be told.

I managed to get back to Murray on Tuesday 12-02-2014 and get picked up by a trainer within a few hours. My first run was a load of #### where we picked up a load at Murray to drop it and pick up a load at the Memphis terminal only to drop it off at a dollar tree yard 1.8 miles away. My second day was much better. I don't get much time to use my phone so updates may be slow, but I will make sure to update when I can.

Just focus on getting your training completed. You still have Phase 2 to go as well so buckle down & worry about updating this when the opportunity presents itself. Just learn all you can & be safe so when you are ready for P2 you get through it unscathed.
