Ptl out of Murray Kentucky announced the other day it was to ..
    Cut drivers wages by ...?
Doing a pay deduction for the following ..

West of Mississippi river and anywhere in the state of lousiana a strait rate of .030 cpm
The average OTR driver at PTL makes from 0.34 -0.46. Cpm depending on experience level . No matter where you were on the pay scale the rate drops to 0.30 for the above mentioned areas.

They sent this to their drivers via a Q- com MSG stating new payroll update and then giving a 1-800 # to a automated line stating the changes.

The upper level and lower level mgt team gets a 3% raise this year ... That's right a RAISE while drivers take a cut...

All I can say is WOW ... What. Nerve,

By what reasoning is the State of Louisiana a .30cpm state as opposed to any other state? Highways are highways in most southern states, exceptions to the rule being any major city during peak driving times.

It is already common knowledge that Swift bought out PTL anyway....life will only get tougher for PTL drivers.

that's awful. I thought PTL was doing good hauling guillotines for the government. Look up the other thread for the info.

    .
And here I was wondering if I had done the right thing. By taking a .07 per mile cut in pay, for weekends home.

Hmmmmm. NOW, I'm making more than OTR drivers at most companies :biggrin_25512:.

    State your source for that?

Man I sure hope not ... Why would swift want PTL except for the hub terminal in Murray ? They have no real freight base of a substansual quanity . Hate to see swift in Murray ky I am from right down the road altough I just moved across the river 9 mths ago..

    That sucks if true...!!!!

My source is my stepdad whom drives for them and just recently came back after a injury ... He got the MSG sent to his truck...
