You know I will never figure out why people think 2 year old threads are not relevent, there could very well be other husband and wives who are thinking the same thing how nice it is they can come here and read rather than post another thread. Rocks good update for those who are looking, that is one atta-boy for you.

Dreazz75, Rocks, Tnronin and 2 others Thank this.

I agree BigJim1937.... Doesn't matter how old a thread is, only time changes.

Thank you all for having this conversation 8 years ago so I could read it. My fiance started driving about 3 months ago. Once he finished his 3 weeks of training with Melton, I was in the truck with him. I Freaking Love it out here! I want to get my CDLs as soon as I can, but I have a (PBJ and stet) DUI from 2016 sitting on my record so itlli be another 6 months before anyone so much as looks at me. Do you guys have ANY advice?

That DUI will keep you away from some of the better paying companies, but there's some decent reefer outfits that will hire you both to run teams. Personally, I like reefers and pulled them for 18 years. You can make good money running teams coast to coast. Which state do you live in? Maybe we can give you some leads.

We are from MD, but we've been looking around for apartments just to have a home base that isn't on the East coast . There are just too many darn people out here!

Tell me about it; I moved to Las Vegas from Tennessee.
Hundreds of new apartments being built in Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada and rent here is very reasonable. Lots of trucking jobs here.
In Nevada there is no state personal income tax and no food tax.

When you look at a map, Henderson & Las Vegas are basically the same city and separated by an invisible zig-zag line.
Chaley Chan at www.propertyvegas.com will help you find a nice, affordable apartment.

    Gatorgrl and Johnniemac90 Thank this.
