Most OTR companies don't count local driving as "experience". And most want you to be 23. Notice, I said most, but not all. I think CRST out of Cedar Rapids, Ia. takes 21 year olds and FFE out of Dallas, Tx. accepts local driving as experience. You will have to do your own search for other companies.

for most comanies i have applied for, if you drove in less than 3 states it wasnt considered OTR experiance

Yeah, Intra is considered local. I know, it doesn't make sense. You run around in city traffic all day, bump the dock 10-20 times a day, and companies don't care. And Inter you just jump on the interstate for a 1000 miles and they think you need some kind of super duper experience.

doesnt matter if they are stupid or not, weather the person is "resposible" or not......it IS the law

just like a young soldier may fight and die for his country, and be under 21, but boy howdy if he has a beer at home he's in deep crap

just becuase you and i dont agree with the law, doesnt make it any less legal

Don't cha yust Love It. You can sign up to die for these fine states, but don't you dear have a beer. The only good thing was,at least in my state, the LEO's would let you ride as long as you were not droulling to much on the steering wheel and showed your service ID. Hey skylort, sorry for getting side tracked, listen. Ya you feel your being picked on for your age, but believe me, your going to be 40 tomorrow and say "What Happened?"Trust me on that one. At your age your lucky to be with the outfit your with, and besides by the time you are road worthy things hopefully will have picked up. So don't fret Grasshopper, your time will come.
