Nah everythings cool :) .....Swift told me that the speedn ticket needs to be 3 years old and the accident must be a year old....They still require that you send the accident report to just look over it.....I seriously doubt they would send me to orientation and tell me that their not going to hire me once i get their unless I had a drug/dui/dwi/felony etc charge i didnt tell them about to i get there....Im not going to try coastal transportation because I dont need to.....The speeding ticket not reckless driving is going to be 3 years old next month and the accident is already over a year old....The main thing is I didnt kill nobody with the collision. Other than that I have a spot free criminal background and i dont use illegal drugs.....
    GOOD LUCK!

Best of luck man. some area's ARE seeing a shortage of drivers. You should see the guys my place has been hiring. They scraped the bottom of the barrel so hard they wore through and are now in the dirt. We just had a trainee get let go for testing positive for crack cocaine. LOL I am really done with this "industry" soon. It's not getting any better and frankly I can do other things.

Actually, you'd be surprised. try it and let us know.

It happened to me at JB Hunt and covenant for different reasons, which i told them on the phone and they said everything was fine.

I'm elgible for "re"hire at both companies as well.

Well the way ill do it is tell them to send me a fax with the date, time, and signature of the recruiter and a message saying that i am fully qualified to work for them....So they give me any hocus pocus.....Once I got that stuff and they kick me out of orientation i got something good enough to make them compensate me for fuel and time. :biggrin_25523:

Let us know how that goes. You'll never find a company that will do that. They CAN'T. Until you go there, how the hell do they know you can pass a drug test, for example? You might get a conditional offer of employment...but it'll be loooong with exceptions..to the point of being pointless.

Hell man, werner didnt even check my previous employers for references before i was ON A TRUCK FOR A WEEK.....

Recruiting even sends messages on qualcomm to trucks asking for more information. COME ON....

And we're talking about swift here. The big guys are all the same...

It doesn't matter what they send you to make you feel better about not being let go! Ever heard of "at will" employment states...basically it means that a company can terminate you AT ANY TIME without cause.:biggrin_25521: They don't need to give a reason or have a reason. The other side of that is you can quit at any time...but I would very strongly suggest you give notice and never, EVER, NEVER abandon a CMV. And they do not owe you fuel or compensation for attending orientation...you haven't been hired until you've passed any and all tests and they put you in a truck. I'm not saying I like the set up but that IS THE WAY IT IS. Best of luck to ya!

The only reason why i want to go to swift is because my year and half of tractor trailer experience hauling bulk cement is not verifiable and i need some verifiable experience ( I want a year of OTR).I hauled it for my best friend when he didnt want to drive and stayed at home or when he was tired on the road.I learned alot with that truck and it was fun too,I LOVE DRIVING! The big boys are a bunch of pieces of **** .They wont take into consideration I have experience already and they want me to go to their crazy school training and drive with some POS stinking mentor with me in the truck that i dont even know .Some of the local mom and pops will consider me but I havent seen any wanted drivers in the paper for the smaller co's lately. The smaller companies I know about and heard of around my area dont care about your record...They dont care if you ran a school bus loaded with kids off the road into a ditch or took a **** on top of the white house....Im just kind of intimidated what Swift will think of my accident...I got a clean DAC and criminal record because I never was really employed by a trucking company and im not a lawbreaker...I want to go to swift because I never worked a job for the last three years and they will accept me like that with two notarized letters stating i was unemployed byTwo family members that is......Keep on replying because i need alot of advice and info....Thank You son
